Found in a Viking grave at Lillevang, Bornholm, Denmark.
The Vikings have left many traces behind in foreign settlements, and they have brought to Denmark imports from many countries. The fashionable woman typically wore a pair of shoulder brooches or buckles, that would fasten the beautiful material often woven with silver and gold thread. In addition she would adorn herself richly with bronze, silver and gold jewelry imported or manufactured by Danish craftsmen. The pendant is 1 1/4" wide and 1 1/8" tall.
