This is a copy of the Sterling Silver Cross worn by devout pilgrims making the pilgrimage from Bergen (and other places) to the Cathedral at Trondheim, Norway. It bears the raised image of Saint Olaf - the King who christianized Norway. It measures almost two inches tall and one and five eigths inches wide and bears the following inscription (translated from the Norwegian) on the reverse: Copy of the Pilgrim's symbol (Pilgrimsmerke) dated from about 1200 Bryggen/Bergen Norway.
